WATERFOWL HUNTS
DUCK & GOOSE HUNTING GUIDES
SOUTH DAKOTA
South Dakota Duck Hunting is truly the mecca for present day water fowler. In fact South Dakota duck hunting has become a “bucket list” hunt and replaced many waterfowler’s Canada trip every year.
Our guided SD hunts are typically all combo hunts for both ducks (mallards, wigeon, pintail) and geese (giant Canadas, specks & snows) will likely be field hunts. South Dakotas habitat is as close as it gets to paradise for a duck. The area consists mainly of two things, potholes and rolling corn and bean fields, the perfect combination for ducks to thrive.
We run our SD hunts late October to mid November when the migration is traditionally in full swing. The majority of the hunts will be in corn or bean fields we scouted the previous day and had ducks and/or geese feeding in them.
GUIDED SOUTH DAKOTA WATERFOWL HUNTS
Due to South Dakotas non resident licensing process for the fall, our SD hunts require a party of 8 hunters. Parties who book with 8 hunters or more will get a closed group with just them and their guides.
Each summer non resident South Dakota waterfowl licenses are issued through a lottery draw with applications starting in June and ending in early July. Nearly 100% of our groups draw every year but it’s critical it’s applied for correctly. Please give your group plenty of time for us to help you with this. Graham will walk you through the process over the phone to ensure your group is registered properly.
